What a great reunion celebration. So far, the consensus is that everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing one-another. First of all, the turn-out was fantastic. The Class of 1970 really came through in support of our 40th year reunion.
The reception at the door was done with welcoming smiles for everyone. Just watching as we greeted each other, one would have thought this was our 1st year class reunion, not our 40th. Everyone looked sooo good. You must admit, our class mates have been very well preserved. Give yourselves a big hug, we looked good.
The band also provided great music for our dancing and entertainment. Congratulations to Gazella Lynn Johnson on being crowned the 40th Reunion Queen. She was escorted by Steve Samaras. Photography services was provided by our classmate Amos Johnson, Jr. and his son Amos, 3rd, owner, operators of Mo Pho Photo. We hope to have some of Amos’ pictures posted here on the website for you appreciation.
We thank you for participating in the Memorial of our departed classmates. So many are no longer with us, but we will never forget them. Their spirits will be with us always.
A special thanks to our Mistress of Ceremony, Ms. Sheila Finlayson for a job well done. I’d also like to thank the reunion committee on behalf of the class. I heard that sentiment expressed very often at the reunion. As a member of the reunion committee, I’d like to also thank Lesley Stanton for once again providing the leadership for the reunion committee and was Cheerleader-and-Chief as well.
It was a great time preparing for this event, complete cooperation and fun fellowship along the way. I encourage others to get involved with the committee, provide your ideas and abilities, and help make a great celebration even better.
Anyway, we hope each of you had a great time. Enjoy the CD with music from the era of our graduation provided to everyone attending. We look forward to your feedback and ideas for coming years activities. We will soon put up a survey to encourage your suggestions and ideas. So keep in communication with your classmates via this website.
Take care, be blessed and stay youthful!
